HARRY POTTER

Only five years , J.K. Rowling was just another single mother struggling to a
living. Now she's a superstar. She is the author of the popular Harry Potter books (for children of
ages). In the last five years, more than 100 million copies of the books have been sold
worldwide, and only the Bible has been translated into more languages. Now, the first book in the series, The
Philosopher's Stone, been made into a film which is sure to break all box office records. The
film follows the exact details of the book. The starts with Harry Potter,
parents died when he was a baby, living with his mother's sister, Aunt Petunia. She and her husband, Uncle
Vernon, and son, Dudley, are very cruel to Harry and him to sleep in a cupboard under the
stairs. Then he receives a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which tells him he is actually
a wizard. The letter offers him a place at the school. He leaves the normal humans (who magic people call
muggles) and starts studying be a wizard. He meets a friendly giant, a three-headed dog, very
smart owls, unicorns, baby dragons and other mysterious creatures and he learns
to play a game called Quidditch (a sort of cross between hockey and football, played high in
the air on a broomstick).
